Our national day of protest against the health insurance industry on June 19th started with CNA Executive Director Rose Ann De Moro, Donna Smith and others joining Mayor Gavin Newsom signing a resolution endorsing HR 676.
And all day in at least 18 cities across the country nurses, doctors and patients marched, sang, and raised their voices in support of guaranteed health care for everyone. The single payer movement jumped forward tremendously — more than 8,000 people participated nationwide (more than 1,500 in Pennsylvania alone)… Here is a sample:
In Louisville, KY 50 people turned out in front of Humana. click here for news
